Founded by veteran Hong Kong Kendama athlete Li Ho Cheung, the Hong Kong Freestyle Kendama Association is guided by the educational ethos of "Providing children with a sport they can joyfully learn." The association breaks the misconception of Kendama being merely a simple toy, promoting it as a dynamic, highly technical full-body sport through professional, structured training and performances. Free from venue constraints, Kendama can be practiced anywhere to effectively build patience, laser-sharp focus, and dynamic body coordination. Led by stringently vetted instructors, the curriculum integrates foundational and trick techniques with positive sportsmanship. By encouraging young learners to think outside the box and invent their own custom trick combinations, the association empowers kids to celebrate personal growth and build lasting self-confidence through an engaging physical discipline.
