Lantau North Country Park & Extension

Lantau North Country Park was established in 1978, and its "Extension" was designated in 2008. Together, they form a vast protected area of approximately 4,200 hectares. Stretching from Tung Chung in the north to Mui Wo in the south, the park encompasses areas such as Nei Lak Shan, the Ngong Ping Plateau, and the northern slopes of Sunset Peak. Beyond its function as a vital water catchment area, the park is characterized by lush woodlands and diverse habitats for local wildlife. Notable landmarks such as the Ngong Ping 360 cable car and the Wisdom Path are located within or adjacent to this park.
