Lantau South Country Park

Established in 1978, Lantau South Country Park covers approximately 5,640 hectares, making it one of the two country parks on Lantau Island. The park encompasses the southern slopes of Lantau Peak and Sunset Peak, as well as the Chi Ma Wan Peninsula. It is characterized by rugged mountain terrain and winding, scenic coastlines. The area features rich biodiversity, including lush native woodlands and shrublands that serve as habitats for diverse wildlife. Furthermore, it preserves several traditional villages and historical sites, reflecting the unique cultural and natural heritage of southern Lantau.
