Shek O Peak (284m)
Shek OShek O Peak (also known as Ta Lan Tsing Teng Shan / 打爛埕頂山) is a prominent hill located within Shek O Country Park in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, standing at an altitude of 284 meters. Iconic Attractions: It is the highest vantage point along the world-famous Dragon's Back trail. The open-air platform at the summit offers breathtaking, panoramic views of Shek O Beach, Big Wave Bay, the D'Aguilar Peninsula, and the South China Sea. Hiking Trail: As a key highlight of Section 8 of the Hong Kong Trail, the path gets its name from the undulating ridge that resembles a dragon's backbone. It has been widely acclaimed as one of the best urban hikes in Asia. Access: Hikers typically begin their ascent from the To Tei Wan entrance on Shek O Road and conclude their journey at Big Wave Bay. The trail is open 24 hours daily with free admission.
